I had my acl replaced on my left leg december of 2005. I was in PT for 12 weeks following this. It was PAINFUL and if i had to do it again, I'd think really really really hard about it.
if you have no pain, and are able to do the eliptical, why are they doing surgery?
just wondered.

Hi Christina,I tore my Quad tendon, and had a limp lower leg, so surgery was scheduled asap. As far as I know, your surgery is less painful, with a faster recovery than mine is. If you went to Yahoo videos and typed in Knee surgery, you will see testimonials, and videos of the surgery, ewwwwwwwww. That site has been helpful for me ..... take it slow!Frank

I tore my ACL back in June '07 and will be getting surgery this April
some time.
I am just wondering how bad it is for me to continue my morning
fitness routine of about 20-30 min on the Elliptical machine (only
twice per week) at the gym?
I don't feel pain when i'm done. No more then what I feel on a daily
basis (which is very minimal).
I just wanted some insight to anyone that may have had the same
thought's before their own surgery...
I look forward to hearing from someone...
Thank you.
have a great day! :)
