damn...bummer man.
no your sport days dont have to be over.
look at guys like frank gore (double acl recon) rb for the niners or shane mcconkey (5 recons) pro freeskier.
i have had both my acl redone. i am still waiting for the right knee to come around. i had surgery in march. the rehab on this one has been hell and im still probebly 4 mon from being healthy enough to ski so more than likely im goin to miss this season. both my tears have been ski injuries.
im not gonna lie...this is gonna be a tough road ahead for you. acl recons are not any fun and they take a ling time to heal to the point that you can go back out and do what you wanna do. anywhere from 9-14 months to be safe and not have a re-tear.
good luck man and i wish you a fast recovery.

Hi,
I was recently hit by a car which tore my ACL and MCL. I m currently
waiting for my Fibia to heal before they can reconstruct my knee. My
question is are people here still able to play sport, or are my tennis,
golf and skiing days over ?
ALso, what is the pain like after surgery and during recovery ?
Thanks,
Christian
