Sorry about your accident! My God it could have been much worse!
I've had velcro weights (2-5 lb.ers) that are adjustable and put them on my ankle and slide my heel to my bottom when lying on my back. I pull and hold and then straighten it as much as I can. Then I lay on my stomach and have my legs hang over end of bed just above knee and with the weight there I lift the afflicted leg 20-30 reps.

Hi. My name is Trish and I'm from Alabama. I need someone to talk to
about getting my range of motion back in my knee after an accident and
surgery. Any advice will help. I am in physical therapy 3 times per
week, plus I have exercises to do at home 3 times a day every day. On
Dec. 16 of last year, I was standing outside of my car (had a blowout)
on the interstate and a lady lost control of her car and hit me. She
was determined to be doing between 70-80 mph. She only injured my
left side, it broke my kneecap, my femur in 2 places, my pelvis in 2
places in the front, and 2 in the back, my wrist in 14 places, among
other cuts , etc. I would really like someone to chat with. My yahoo
id is trishkitchens and i'm on myspace at
www.myspace.com/trishkitchen s. Thanks!
