They used the midsection of my petellar tendon to reattach my acl almost 5 weeks ago. The incision is about 2-3 inches long, and it feels like duct tape over it since there is scar tissue. the most painful for me was standing up and the pull and gravity on the stitches. My leg is still numb in some areas. My PT has advised me to rub on the incisons now to get rid of the bumpy scar tissue. That was painful when I started it last week - but it gets better.
