I had reconstructive surgery after a rather severe break in my lower leg 14 years ago; just had the ankle fused last August-- still dealing with the RSD that was caused by the break. 

I strongly suggest that you see a neurologist and get a sympathetic nerve block done as soon as possible, or something along that line, to help you get this horrbile condition under control. The pain has been so constant and severe that I have contemplated amputation more than once!Good luck
