I had acl surgery about 6-weeks ago. Since the surgery I have been
experiencing lots of pain on the inside part of my knee. I saw my
doctor today for the first time since the surgery (I've only seen his
assistant up until this time). I explained to him that everything was
feeling better except for this certain spot on the inside of my knee.
He then told me that during surgery the tool that they use to go
through the knee to attach the new ligament inadvertantly went all the
way through my leg. Nobody ever told me, I said. No wonder it is
hurting! My doctor showed no real concern over this, but it has been
bothering me because I feel like they did not tell me about this mishap.
Did anybody else have this happen to them and what did you do?
How often does this happen?
Should I go see another doctor for an evaluation?
