start of day 6
just thought I would give an update to surgery. I think I was way
more nervous than I should have been before surgery. It went well. I
have the allograft and some trimming to the med meniscus. It was
not too bad the first couple days. I went to pt 2 days after the
surgery .I was able to get to 70 degrees in angle and straighten to
20 degrees. That was somewhat overwelming but once I did it I was
able to do more for myself. I have been doing my exercises everyday.
I was off the pain pills on the third day. Just taking some tylenol
for now .Yesterday was my second pt session and I got to 90 degrees
in angle and 4 degrees on straightening. Swelling is going down and
one can start to see there is an outline of a knee cap in there. The
brace is bulkey and unconfortable at times but I keep telling myself
I only have to live with it for 2 or 3 weeks.I know it is early and
I have a long way to go but I feel my knee is more stable. I will
keep you updated. --- In kneesurgeryforum@yahoogroups.com, "ksgrown"
