Hi Dawn,
I tore my ACL three years ago in a sports injury and all my doctors
told me i needed surgery. I didn't get it and i have been fine,
very active and felt as good as it ever way....Until another sports
injury a month ago. Now i need surgery but my point it, not
everyone needs surgery and it's up to how your pain and recovery
is. I was back on my feet without crutches both times within a
week. Get your MRI results and a second and even third opinion then
decide.
I also hear that after surgery you are on your feet within a week.
But still in rehab. I think you will be fine with all your kids
even if you do get surgery.
