I did partially misunderstand, but the hamstrings are
not tight either. Just some inflammation pinching the
nerve.
Flex. only comes in 10 mg. I have used it a lot in the
past with my back. I've had to take double dose. That
usually get things rolling. It depends on your
tolerance to Med's. Mine is high so as far as pain
killers go, I don't really do them. Other meds like
flex. I double to get enough.
Celebrix, I know that the big scare was let out with
this drug, but after questioning it with various
doctors I found that the main concern is with those
who are not healthy or the elderly. I have taken it in
the past and I take it as needed this very day. For me
it works and just 3 months ago I received a full bill
of health from 2 doctors.
After my surgery, my surgeon cut me off of the
morphine which the nurses were kind enough to keep
giving me through the night. My surgeon failed to tell
them to poly give a couple of shots. In the morning
She cut me off that and gave me Percocet (sp?), There
is a drug a guy needs to be scared off. Oxycontin is
pretty much the same drug and has the nice little side
effect of just stopping your lungs (boom! your dead).
So I never was given the option of really keeping the
pain away. I give a great deal of credit to my wife
for putting up with my pain.
Sciatic, problems have been a long time thing. I
injured my back in 2002, tearing my lig's and muscles
out the from top to bottom. Now my back is pretty much
scare tissue 2 inches on both sides of my spine and
down my back. The injury as it was treated progressed
to the lower part of my back were it has ended up now.
My fifth vert. is wedged do to posture change due to
the injury. My hip keeps falling out and pushing on
the nerve and causing the muscle to inflame, which in
return squeezes around my nerve. That's where the pain
begins. I can usually handle one or the other, but
having to deal with my knee and have this nerve
problem gets a bit testy sometimes and slows the whole
knee progress a bit. I have tried Acupuncture a few
times and it does not really do a thing for me. I was
prescribed a T.E.N.S machine which is god sent. When
it gets to overwhelming it gets hooked up.
I can not believe your doctor only ordered 4 weeks of
physio. I'm on an extensive rehab protocol. 20 weeks
long. It was developed by a leading sports medicine
outfit in eastern Canada and my Surgeon placed me onto
it with some modifications to it. She does not believe
in doing things a second time and to handle the
recovery the right way the first time.
