Re: [kneesurgeryforum] Re: 3 wks post-op ACL reconstruction question

cmjodi,

You sound like you are coming along very well. At 3
weeks and you already have 90 degree bend? I'm not
sure if many of you have ever recieved an ACL recovery
protocol, I have from my Surgeon and theropist. Most
of you all seem to be coming along quite well
according to the protocol. I'm 15 weeks into my physio
after my surgery and I have reached about 105 - 110
degrees. I slide a bit due to hip and pinched nerve,
but over the past week I have gained and am back where
I should be.

My physiotheropist is not pushy at all. She only has
me do what is comfortable for me to do. After surgrey
I was in a wheelchair for a week. I then went to 2
crutches for another and then to a single for another.
I used a cane for a couple weeks and then was walking
with the brace up until about 3 weeks ago when I lost
the brace and walk around without it. I am possibly a
slightly different case maybe than some of you. I have
to where my brace for any strenuous activity and
sports pretty much for the rest of my life.

If anyone does not have a protocol on ACL rehab and
would like to see it I can post it. Let me know.

Corey
