Sorry to hear. I've been down the road already.
If you have a complete tear I think you'll want to have it fixed.
I rehabbed my knee for months after I tore it. Mainly because I was
too stubborn to go to the doctor and find out for sure what was wrong.
It buckled on me anytime I did more than brisk walk. Not a fun
feeling as you probably know.
The surgery and the rehab suck. But in the end, you will be able to
return to all of your sports and activites.
So I say go for it. Who wants to live with a broken knee their whole
life if they don't have to.
