Clinical evidence of acute knee injury   Message List

Hi all. Hubby just had reconstruction of his ACL, MCL and repair of
his meniscus. He hurt himself at work. WCB cut him off claim saying
that his injury could have been pre-existing. They want clinical
evidence that his injury was new and didn't happen before. Do I
understand correctly that if his injury was old, the surgeon would
have seen degeneration of his meniscus and/or the ligaments? The
surgeon's report -- which WCB has seen -- says that the ACL appeared
normal but was completely detatched. Is this not clinical evidence of
an acute injury? Your ideas would be helpful. Thanks.
