ACL reinjury chances   Message List

If you have had ACL reconstruction and gone through PT is the new ACL
more likely to tear or rip than a normal ACL, in general?

It's been a year since my ACL reconstruction(using muscle from my thigh
to make a new one) and I have been pretty good about PT (but my injured
leg is still weak). I am afraid of damaging my ACL again but I would
really like to try to play ice hockey again.

In general, are reconstructed ACLs weaker than normal ACLs?

I guess it depends on the person but if anyone has any advice I would
sure appreciate it.
