Anyone have a Roux-Goldwaithe procedure done and then later still have subluxing problems?
I had the procedure done in 95 in conjunction with a lateral release. After a lot of knee problems recently (within the last year... see signature like for more details) I found a new OS. He told me that I was experiencing damage to the saphenous nerve damage following my ACL surgery and injected the neuroma with cortisone. He also told me that I have a lateral subluxing patella. He has put me in PT for 6 weeks and if i can not do all the activities I would like following that he has recommended a TTT (I have difficulty bending and doing stairs, etc at the moment). He did tell me that because of my previous knee surgery this procedure (if it has to be done) will be a pretty messy procedure and difficult.. but he thought successful.
I am scared of PT at this point because of the amount of damage I did to the back of my kneecap trying to rehab from the ACL surgery... and I am scared that it will not work either. The last thing that I want is another knee surgery... esp a major one. If I do have to have the surgery it would have to be done during a 2 1/2 week window between semesters and then I would start school again. I do not know if this is even a realistic goal or not. If I am not in school I loose my health insurance and I will loose it the end of January anyways.

It has been one heck of a year and I am so tired of dealing with my knee and living in pain. Anyone have any experience with these procedures?
Thanks

*May 95-- Roux-Goldthwait & lateral release
*Dec 95-- Chondroplasty, Synovial tissue removal, found partial ACL tear
*Sept 04-- ACL reconstruction w/allograft

*Saphenous neuroma following ACL surgery... and now once again have a subluxed patella!
*Maybe more surgery if PT doesnt fix things up for me :(
