From the time I originally injured my knee till I had surgery was 12.5 years, and I continued playing very high impact sports year round for quite some time. I went through a lot of years of pain and discomfort before I finally had surgery(not entirely my choice, I had some crappy docs over the years who brushed me off). I had a hamstring graft on it as that was what my dr said he was going to do...lol. I had surgery about 8 months ago, and will be glad to answer any specific questions:)

Hello All!
I just tore my ACL last week and am debating on when to get surgery.
Luckily, I am able to walk on it, so I feel that I have a little time
to play with.
I am debating whether to have my own graft or that of a cadaver.
Could anyone share their experiences with either procedure? What led
you to make your personal decision?
Any thoughts or info on this subject would be much appreciated!
