Medial Meniscus Tear   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #32 of 1299 |
Hi-I'm 50 and now have OA pretty much everywhere and
it has caused the tibia and femur in my left knee to
"crush" together and cause a complex tear in my medial
meniscus. One doctor says to have sugery to cut out
up to 30% and another doctor says sugery is the worst
thing I could do. Now that the initial episode has
passed, I am not in much pain, but I can't do all the
things I used to like yard work. Can anyone help me
out on deciding whether to have the surgery or not??
I have read a few of your letters and it sounds like I
should not do it.
Also, the 2nd doctor suggested Synvisc, has anyone
tried this???
