ACL Reconstruction Surgery: 2 Weeks Post Op   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #27 of 1299 |
I start PT in two days. I am still on 20mg of oxycontin per day (down
from 40mg) and I switched to Vicodin from Percocet. I am taking one
Vicoden every 4-5 hours though I find I need two first thing in the
morning and at night.

My leg is still locked at zero degrees in the DonJoy brace but the
ortho doc has encouraged me to start bending it slightly. He
absolutely, positively does not want me walking without the brace. I
think I'm looking at a few more weeks of wearing that (sigh..I hope
it is just a few more weeks.) I can walk around the house without the
crutches but there are still times when I need the crutch to lean on.
I think I need to back off a bit since it is a bit more sore than I
would like it.

Thanks to everyone for sharing your stories and words of
encouragement.
