Well Ped Dr said she has low levels of medications but what bothered him is
her neurologist would not increase the dose. He saw SHanna have a seizure
today in his office. And Told Dr Dean ( neurologist) that he saw one and
that I was not just saying Shanna had seizure to get attention. (needless
to say knowing Dr Dean feels like I am just saying Shanna has seizures to
get attention bothers me greatly).
But Dr Gestler (PEd Dr) said that is was her way of handling the whole
thing that bothered him. to call if she has more and no increase of meds.
Shanna usually runs at 100 % level and now was at 50%.

she is now going on 8. Dr Gestler said he feels the decrease in level is
due to her growth she has grown in 3 months time 4" and gained 10 lbs
she is now 54" and 85 lbs. Dr Gestler said his guess of her being 6' by
the time she stops growing is looking like a sure thing. If she is under
5' 8" I will be shocked.

But Dr Gestler did suggest a new dr Rice at forsythe hospital in Winston Salem
I do not know of this dr. But that is the hospital that Dr Dean prefers I
like Baptist better. But that is just cause of there childerens hospital
is great.

I have tossed the seziure chart and now keeping a journal I think that
would give a better picture of what is going on.

I hate to think I am going to get another dr again seems like when dr X
stops medicade or is it medicare ( they pay 100 %). I use her dad's work
insurance to pay for some and then medicade picks up rest but her
experimental meds are not covered under his plan, and his insurance was
giving us a lot of problems with pre exsisting stuff which was suppost to
be waved.

BUt anyway we went total medicade on her this yr. But it seems that dr x
ses this and says well you are not worth my time now and I can have the
worst bedside manors and put you down etc.

I just do not like a dr changing cause of this. I went from Dr Lesser
which at first was a great dr but was not into the seizure dogs. I knew
Shanna fit in the group that should have the dogs. I know I brought him 5
lbs of research work I did myself on the dogs.

So off to Dr Dean who to get into her office She calls you. She picks her
pts. You got to be a special case to get her. So after back in 1994 a
recorded at CMC 150 seizure in a month. She called us. and we went with
her.
Now I did like Dr Dean and her 50% meds and 50% lifestyle to help her pts.
And she did Rx a dog for Shanna and took her off lamital which seemed to
make her frontal lobe problems of personality worst.

But I hate when I have a dr apts at 10 am to sit till 12 pm for no reason
and not be taken cause whom ever came in went first even though my apt was
before theirs.

We have almost gotten to where we got to take a day off to go see her.
which is not good. Hubby is lead man at Dana ( heat treat) (off road
division).
