The key, in my opinion, is to learn all you can, trust your instincts, avoid
anything that comes in a box or is packaged, no flavored water, avoid oils if
possible, some fruits, adjust ratio if possible rather than calories. Too many
calories is trouble. Stick with it. Fine tuning is everything but it can take
time. Be patient.

Hi everyone,
I just stumbled upon this group and am happy I found it. My daughter
just started this diet about 5 weeks ago and we're having issues trying
to keep her ketones high. We're working with the nutritionist to make
the needed adjustments to her diet. She's 2 years old and has infantile
spasms. We have not seen a reduction in her spams, but she is a pretty
happy girl. If anyone else had trouble at the beginning of the diet
and has any suggestions, I welcome them. She's been eating everything
we've given her. Even adjusted to drinking flavored water. Not sure
what's happening.
