Back after a month away, wow its not easy with a little one being
away from home for so long! sleep times go askew and all the things
they find at other's houses! Into everything! Got the travelling
diet down pat though. Made up bulk meals and froze them individually
and used my mum's trusty old car fridge, which kept them frozen
until we reached the next destination. We caught a train when we
went to hospital though, so I just took 2days worth of prepared
meals in an esky, that were previously frozen, knowing that they'd
be defrosted by the time we got there and would have to eat them
over next few days, and packed scales, hand blender, containers etc
and made further meals up at hospital.
Hospital stay was thankfully brief this time. Out in 4 days. His MRI
showed that his brain hadn't grown at all since first MRI 10months
ago. I had suspected this. His brain at 9.5months at first MRI
showed that it was only about 2/3rds the size it should be, with no
explanation. Mum was very excited with all the progress he's made in
the last few months, thinking that it meant that his brain was
growing, but I thought that it was the diet helping to calm his over
all brain activity so that he could think clearer and develop, and
that his brain size would probably be the same. I was unfortunately
right, but hey, further testimony to the diet. His EEG, although he
still has constant abnormal brain activity, is calmer than it was
before the diet. If his brain size hasn't inproved, but he has
suddenly started sitting, crawling, pulling to stand and he has just
started standing up in the middle of the backyard by himself for a
second or two before lowering himself back down, all within the ages
of 15-19months since he started the diet, then weigh on!!!!!
