Hi there,
My daughter 13 on the diet for 2 ½ years loves jello. Make it with gelatin,
kool aid packs with flavor only and stevia. Zero calories! I also bought a
hand held whip cream maker. Go to a professional cooking store. About
$40-75. We use it every day. Use your heavy cream, freeze it for “ice
cream” or serve soft. You can add stevia or the flavoring by “Bickford”
1-800-283-8322. Use mayonnaise instead of all the oil for a lot of things,
even on Jello, scramble eggs, pork rinds are also a good snack like chips.
Make a mayo dip.
We did not have good luck with powdered Splenda- caused seizures so Stevia
is the best. Very $$ but you do not use very much to make something sweet.
Good luck others in the group have great recipes too.
Margit

Subject: [Keto Kids] my daughters journey
we have just been introduced to the keno diet my daughter has been put
on it to help regulate her seizures as they are very extreme at times.
She not only has one type of seizure but has around 5 different ones.
She has them daily, and during the night. The types she has most is
drop attacks and she regulary hurts herself, she has a head guard.
We must admit it seems very demanding this diet. We do need help with
ideas of what she can eat whilst out shoppping, parks etc so if anyone
has any ideas that would be great, preferably they would be calorie
free and some good ideas for the fat exchange would be appreciated.
My daughter is a great lover of sweets and chocolate so its gonna be
very hard for her to adjust to this diet as its proving hard for her
now already but we are doing our best and im sure she is too....
Hopefully this diet will help her seizures but some support and ideas
would be great from people who have already done it or are doing it
Thanks
