toynera,
I can't begin to tell you how exciting, yet comforting it is to recieve an email
from others whom walk the same journey as us. Austin's illness has taught us
that the world doesn't have to stop spinning for us to take a breath and see
life around us. Philip, the girls(Alyssa & Caitlyn)and I have seen such a
network of support that at times it is hard for ones mind to digest it all at
once. I am a mother first and an EMT second - so my heart is like that of a
sponge when it comes to others' aches, and as most mothers my courage and
strength run deeper than even I could have ever imagined. But when the times
get tough and we find ourselves worn and unfocused--- there has always been a
wave of support from the veterans of this awful illness that have walked before
us that washes in and carries us through. Our friends and communities around us
have been the wind beneath our wings so many times I am ashamed to count. I am
constatnly humbled and moved by the measure of kindness, and grace you find in
those which are still in the heat of battle. They never fail to have time to
reach out and give you balance when they are already dealing with so much
themselves. It is a beautiful thing to be a part of. Thank you for your words
of encouragement and direction.
Bless You and Annan
Tina

Subject: [Keto Kids] Welcome 2007
Guess what arrived in the mail today? Only a package from the other
side of the world! Thelma, you are a true delight. Thankyou so much for
your kindness, the vitamins will last ages! We are on holidays at the
moment, so I asked my mum to open the parcel for us, she said there was
a toy for Annan too. You are so thoughtful! I cant say thankyou enough.
The journey on the ketogenic diet has been enough to make me weep on
many occasions from pure joy at Annan's progress and the support and
kindness of others around the world. Thankyou again!
Hello to Tina!
May your journey of the ketodiet be as wonderful as it is for us. My
little boy's brain activity has changed so much on the diet that he has
gone from only rolling and little eyecontact etc at 15mths old to
sitting, crawling, pulling to stand, and now sumersaulting and climbing
up to sit on kids picnic seats, all in the last 3mnths whilst on the
diet. I wish you all the best. It can take a while of recalculating the
diet when you first start, took 2 months to properly get Annan's meal
plans right, but it can be amazing! Persevere and know that it can tske
3-6mnths to see the full benefits of the diet. All the luck from around
the world :) ToyNera and Annan
