Hey, I have been researching which hospitals offer the ketogenic diet, so that
I can post them on my website when it is up and running www.ketokandy.com

It is a site that is going to offer candy that is able to be eaten by children
on the ketogenic diet. Dr. Kossoff at Johns Hopkins has taste tested some of
it. As soon as I get a commercial kitchen the candy will be available over the
internet. The purpose of selling the candy is to raise funds to help spread the
word about nutritional therapy for children with epilepsy. I say "nutritional
therapy" because Johns Hopkins is doing research on the modified Atkins for
seizure control. They seem to be having success with some children and adults
that can not tolerate or do not want to do the ketogenic diet.

Could you provide me with the hospital's name and neurological dept. phone
number? I will list this on my web site. I did try to call the Kapi'olani
Medical Center for Women and Children. It is the only hospital I could find
that treated pediatrics. They did not know anything about the ketogenic diet.
If there is a hospital in the Hawiian Islands that offers the ketogenic diet,
that would be wonderful!

You are right about trying to keep our children away from children with colds.
Each time my son catches a cold (like right now) he has to be kept home from
school for many days, because he has asthma on top of epilepsy.

Oh well, God does make our little ones resilient, much more so than me!!

seizures for the first time in a year but bad ones, gang we gotta
watch our kids arent with those who are sick we need to tell the
freinds hey if your kids got a cold let us know cause its deadly for
our kids with seizure its deadly because for two weeks the docs couldnt
diagnose it they still cant , the fever got high and his heart stopped
but old john he is a fighter he fights the thing and when he gets up

but gang guess what alll the skeptics at the hospital who didnt beleive
in the Keto diet are amazed at how he changed in a yerar (Seizure
free,talking ,adapting to speech with therrapy at home repetitive
teachingthey are amazed at johns strenght he is very strong due to the
keto builds up muscles 6 yrs old can lift 25lbs bag of rice climbs
anything like any normal kid and started speaking in sentences BIg Big
deal so guess what their treatment is to stabalize the body and put him
on the diet again start over because of the bacteria they need to give
him a higher keto diet so those of you who tring or doubting this diet
gang it amay not be for everyone but try it if it works you be having
more peace and more joy and see the imporovement in your children lives
well pary for john i gotta go to the hospital and gang live life to the
fullest and be happy for in life tears may come in rivers but for now
