Can you give your son yogurt? If you can give him the one that has live
cultures, it will help replace the good bacteria in his intestine.

Hi. I have not posted in a while. John has been on the keto diet since July
and it has helped dramatically. He has very few seizures per month now,
down from about 6 a day, however over the past few days, he has had 3 head
drops which we have not seen since July. He has still been having short
tonic clonic night time seizures from time to time, but we were shocked to see
these day time seizures.
The only thing we can think of is he has the tail end of a cold. We had put him
on brand name augmentin which is supposed to be ok, and that is the only
thing different. I know infections can cause break through seizures, but he
has not had a fever for days. The only sz med he is on is depakote and the
dose has not changed in months.
Have any of you seen breakthrough seizures on augmentin? I am thinking
this is all because of his cold, but this is the first cold he has had that has
caused breakthrough seizures. What do you all think? Alison Reinecke, son
of John age 3 1/2 yrs.
