Dawn,
I just read your post and I am hoping that you found an answer.
This post is quite old but I am hoping you still check this site. I
also suggest you join the ketogenic yahoo group if you have not
already done so. I would get Tucker off the meds as soon as you
can. Cooper was on 3 different meds when he started the diet and as
soon as he started to come off the meds he started doing better.
Good luck and I hope this message finds you and Tucker well.

of questions and he was refusing to eat anything. He would cry with
the meals and ended up aspirating and had to be in the hospital for
aspiration pneumonia. Anyway, the neuro told us that the decreased
appetite could be because of the zonegran, so we are weaning him off
of it for the past 3 weeks! The seizures are a little worse some
days, but I have read so many people say that the seizures get worse
until they are weaned off and the meds are out of their system. I
haven't called the neuro about this because I am afraid he will want
to up the meds and I want to give the diet time to work. Am I
wrong? Since we have started the wean Tucker is holding his head up
so much better and the OT even said he thought that he might be
trying to start to crawl soon!!!!! THanks so much for any advice
from anyone. I am open to any suggestions. Tucker is also on
Depakote and after reading so much I am wondering if we
