My daughter is 1o years old. Will be 11 in March.
Currently she is 44.6 pounds and 51 inches tall. Her
Keto diet is 4:1 1100 calories per day. It is broken
down to 3 oral meals and 1 tube fed meal. (She has a
mic-key G-tube) Her oral meals are 300 cal. and the
tube meal (Keto Cal) is 200 cal. Per oral meal she
gets 5.8 prot. 30 fat and 1.7 carbs. The Keto meal
weighs out at 29 grams. We use the Keto planner to
make her meals. And so far its not been a problem. I
have several different meals so she get something
different at each meal, although she is not picky
about it. She eats well on a pureed diet but will not
drink by mouth. I'm told she is the ideal kid for the
diet since she is not mobil and is tube fed some. If
she refuses to eat I can still get it in her. As I
said in my last posting, she has gone from 10 to 15
seizures a day down to 0 to 5. From 2 ½ minutes to 5
to 45 seconds. My problem now.... the seizures seem to
be getting worse again. We've done the doctor/
dietitian thing, changed meals and foods, cut fluids
back....just don't know what else to try. any
suggestions?
Melissa
