Your dietician should give you a list of keto friendly medications- something
with no sugar & low carbs. (many medications from tylenol to cold medicines have
sugar). You will probably have to check his urine for ketone levels (your dr.
should prescribe Ketostix or some other brand). Since our son was still in a
diaper, we'd put a cotton ball in his diaper and check the urine from that.
Also, one of the 1st signs of kidney stones would be blood in the urine, and you
should be able to notice that right away. Your dietician should also give you
specific amounts of liquid he should take per day, if it is that strict.

thank you i will go and look for that book. keto friendly for his
medicines whats that mean? if the dietician dont tell me id like to
bring it to her attention just in case. i want to make sure we do
everything right cause one little thing might cause a big problem for
him. im starting to get scared to even try it. what if something
goes wrong? or it makes him sick and he has to go back into the
ICU. or something worse happens. i hope his dietician knows alot
about it cause its all something new to me.
and kidney stones i was reading are one of the side affects? he cant
tell me if he has pain so how do i know if its bothering him? he
cant hold his side or whatever is hurting. and dehydration? i was
reading some of the older posts and their suppose to be hydrated but
