I wish I could help, but my little guy is only 20 months old. I hope that your
research goes well and that you are able to gain a lot of information and
insight to help our little ones. Also, November is Epilepsy Awareness Month
please pass on any information you know about Epilepsy to everyone you know to
get the awareness out there and hopefully help to remove the stigma of epilepsy.
Take care!

Hello All-
I won't even pretend to understand what it is like to raise a child
with epilepsy.... And while I can't imagine what it is like to walk in
those shoes I think we would all agree that we need to learn more
about epilepsy for the sake of improving the lives of children and
their families. That is exactly why I have chosen to do my
dissertation on childhood epilepsy. As a clinical psychology doctoral
student at George Fox University the purpose of my project is to
identify memory problems that affect children with epilepsy and then
to use the data to improve treatment, care, and quality of life
children with epilepsy. In order to better understand how memory
problems affect children with epilepsy I need parents or caretakers of
children ages 6-11 to complete an online survey about their child's
memory functioning. The survey will take approximately 10 minutes (15
tops) and the information submitted will be gathered in a secure
database to be used only by authorized clinicians for further research
on childhood epilepsy. Your time and participation are truly
appreciated. Just follow the link below to fill out the survey and
feel free to pass the opportunity on to other parents or caretakers
who might be interested.
