Try checking
out www.vaginismus.com They have
illustrations of the PC muscle group. Also do a search in Google on “vagina
physical therapy” There will be many links there from physical
therapists with diagrams, etc.
If you can stop
your urine flow, you’ve found the right PC muscle group. If you can’t,
you haven’t. It takes awhile to find the right muscles. You can also
try inserting your finger and then seeing if you can clamp on it. If you have
found the PC muscle group, you’ll be able to (at least a little).
You might also
try a search on “PC muscles” and you’ll probably get some
good info and drawings to help.
Hope this
helps!

I have had such
infections over the last 35 years. Antibiotics for both conditions ALWAYS have
worked, no matter who the partner was. I was single for 20 years after a
divorce and had about 4-5 partners during that time. The crème antibio vaginal
inserts have worked great as well as the current prescription antibiotics for
bladder infection and yeast. No doubt, it is a royal pain and can get very painful
if untreated. I would forego the “natural” remedies for now and
get a prescription antibiotic for the bladder and yeast infections. It can go
higher in your system; it did in mine and I ended up in the ER.
One trick I
learned on the yeast infections—when I felt them coming on, I inserted a
very large tampon which of course would pick up a lot of white stuff (sorry to
get so graphic). Then I would put another in and change it about every 4 hours.
About two times a day I douched twice with plain, warm water to rinse out the
infected cells. That actually worked very well on the yeast side of it and
seemed to clear it up within a few days.
Good luck!

Hi there - I have started doing kegels. My PT told me to contract and release - the release is what I am supposed to focus on - the relaxing phase of the pelvic muscles. My pelvic muscles don't relax and are always *up* so to speak - just like your shoulders would be if you were tense all the time, which I am. Is that your problem too ? Mine is vestibulitis - and the first phase of trying to cure that is doing kegels to relax the muscles down there. Caroline.

Hi there - I have seen a PT for this - see specializes in peliv muscle
therapy. You can practice by doing the following: when you begin to
pee, try to stop midway and then release the pee. This is the muscle
you need to contract and then release. I have vestibulitis and
apparently need to learn to relax my pelvic muscles before any work
can begin on the vestibultis problem. I try to tense and release
whenever I think of it - at best every 12 minutes or 5 times an hour.
It did help though to have the doctor show me if I was tensing from
the right place... your bum should not be squeezing when you do this.
If you stick your finger in there (vagina), you should be able to
feel a slight squeeze. Then you know you are doing it right. It
takes alot of concentration not only to squeeze, but to release the
pelvic muscle completley (resting). Carol.

Hello everybody,
I'm new to this group. The main reason why I
subscribed to this group is, premature ejecuation. Due
to this problem, I'm not able to enjoy the lovemaking.
i have red about some exercises which can help cure
this problem and give better self control.
I have internet access only from office so I cannot
visit such sites to get the information. May I request
the members here to copy- paste the information from
such sites which can be helpful for me? Again, no URL
or links please since I would not be able to load them
in the browser.
(I'm 30 yo male, if this helps)
many thanks,

That's a sure sign that you need more practice at 10 second contractions. It is not at all unusual to have no endurance (i.e., less than 3 second holds) but in a couple week's time you should be getting measurably longer contractions. You are on the right track!
Ok , I'm confused are you supposed to squeeze the muscle or kinda of
like pull it back up inside you(contract). I contract it like I'm
pulling it up inside me, not squeeze it as to push it outward. But
when I contract it, it doesn't let me hold it for 10sec, I contract
and it just realeases. This is very fustrating that I can't hold it
for even 3 seconds. Does anyone else have this problem and am I
doing them right? I can squeeze them outward as to push for 10 sec
or more but I don't think that's right either. Help.

The Kegel Pro is completely different from the Kegelmaster. I have used
both. The Kegel Pro only has 1 setting and it wouldn't even open up in
order for me to begin exercising so was completely useless. The
Kegelmaster has 15 different settings. Your vaginal muscles can not
continue to strengthen with only 1 setting. I couldn't even find a money
back guarantee for the Kegel Pro.

Thanks for your input. I found the site of the American Physical
Therapy Association section on womans health website.
http://www.womenshealthapta.org/
There is a listing of treatments a PT can do for us in pelvic pain
and a directory of representative PT's by state that can hook me up
with one locally. I tried calling the PT today but she wasent in.
I will let you all know what happens. anyone else ever had this
done? I would like to know what is in store for me.

Maybe a Sex Thearpist or Gyn who specializes in
Thearpy. Kinda like the type that work with

Hi!
I want to let everyone know about the Alexander Foundation for Women's Health, a
new
non-profit organization. We publish a newsletter every other month that is
written by
internationally-known experts on gynecology, psychiatry and psychology,
endocrinology,
neurology, and medical sexology. Articles explore issues of mood, menopause,
fertility,
sexuality, and aging, and also include infomation on kegel exercises.
Please visit our website for interesting and important information on women's
health at
www.afwh.org.
Thanks!
I agree with Valerie as well!! I don't post on here much (in fact I'm fairly new!!).... I hope that other women, in the future, aren't afraid to post their questions or concerns here... we are all HERE FOR EACHOTHER!!! As is should be.
That poor girl.... she seemed to take the Mistress chick's harshness well, but I'd be hurt. After reading her description, I realized that she was, in fact, talking about her cervix (does feel funny when you first discover it)... lol That sounds "horrible," but during the process of having three children, you become more in tune with your body. lol
I don't check my mail every day (although I'd like to have the time!!), but I will certainly respond to anyone whom I can help with advice! Positive advice and attitude, of course!!
I totally agree with Valerie-I set this newsgroup up to help other women. Not to judge them. If you have advice or personal experience, please contribute. If you want to judge or debase anyone for seeking help, don't do it here. This forum has laid dormant for too long. That goes the same for any questions you may have. The internet grows from the faceless. People feel comfortable posting or asking others for information other than their doctors or friends. Medical problems such as incontinence and many sexual or, what men have classified as 'female' problems are a source of embarrassment for many women. All of us have the rare opportunity within forums; such as these, to positively affect many peoples lives. I for one don't take that lightly. Neither should
you.
After saying that..I want to truly thank you all for being here.
Hey, I'm sorry but first- be responsible and read my message before
you comment- there is not a large mass hanging out of my
vagina...sheesh..and I'm fine, it's just my cervix..no biggy- the
conversation is over..
Thanks ladies

I totally agree with Valerie-I set this newsgroup up to help other
women. Not to judge them. If you have advice or personal
experience, please contribute. If you want to judge or debase
anyone for seeking help, don't do it here. This forum has laid
dormant for too long. That goes the same for any questions you may
have. The internet grows from the faceless. People feel
comfortable posting or asking others for information other than
their doctors or friends. Medical problems such as incontinence and
many sexual or, what men have classified as 'female' problems are a
source of embarrassment for many women. All of us have the rare
opportunity within forums; such as these, to positively affect many
peoples lives. I for one don't take that lightly. Neither should
you.
After saying that..I want to truly thank you all for being here.
