Get a mirror and sit in front of it.. naked. When you squeeze the
muscles at the entrance to vagina (pelvic) you should see it contract
and release when you squeeze and release. As well, this does sound
weird, but if you stick your thumb in there or finger .. you will
feel the muscle tighten around it... then you know you are doing it
right. If you practice doing that, you will have a sense of what if
feels like. The stomache and legs muscles should not be affected
(should not contract) when you are doing proper kegels. I have to do
some everyday for a condition called Vestibulitis... my pelvic
muscles are hyperactive and I need to be able to tell when they are
up and when they are down (relaxed). Hope this helps. Carol.
