Dear Loyda,
You don't need ANY help -- you are already on the right track!
The answer is absolutely YES!
The major physiological 'event' of orgasm is contractions of the PC muscle
at 0.8 second (involuntary) intervals. If there is not much muscle to
contract, there won't be much to notice. You may in fact be having
"miniature" orgasms, but it isn't like the old days, as you have noticed
yourself.
In addition, the flacid muscle directly accounts for your lack of sensation
during intercourse. Much of the sensation actually comes from the PC muscle
gripping the penis tightly during intercourse. Not much muscle means not
much sensation (to EITHER party!)
There are many essays and testimonials on the Kegelmaster 2000 website that
you should read. If, in addition, you want more "scientific" evidence to
support your home practice discipline, many can be found on my website,
www.InContinet.com, by searching the site for "Kegel" articles. There are
several that explain the research over the past 25 years (There was a long
gap between Kegel's original research in the 1940s and 1950s, and the
re-kindling of interest in the 1980s.)
Several years ago I was demonstrating muscle enhancing trainers at a medical
convention, and a wise old doctor stood watching our displays for several
minutes. Finally, he said "MY PATIENTS don't need your device!"
"Why is that?", I asked.
"Because I spend an hour with every patient after surgery TEACHING them how
to do the exercises correctly", he replied.
And I am certain that he spoke the truth. Trouble is, now many physicians
spend even two minutes teaching (and verifying) their patients how to do
these exercises correctly (and, therefore, effectively?) One in a thousand,
I would have to guess. All the rest will benefit from the Kegelmaster 2000
or similar devices. (Although most of the others are not as good as the
KM2000 with it's much greater range of springs/power.)
If you have any specific questions after reading those historical scientific
articles, post them to this list.

PS: Think of Kegel Exercises like brushing your teeth. You don't HAVE to do
either one for the rest of your life, but if you do, you'll be healthier and
happier for it!

Subject: [kegels] Just started
Hello, I'm Loyda, and new to this list and wanted to say hi. Seems
there is little activity here, but hope to get some answers anyway.
I started doing the KegelMaster 2000 about a week ago. My husband
says there has definately been some improvement. My question is, I'm
a 49 year old mother of two, who had a hysterectomy about 4 years
ago. I never had a problem until about 2 years ago when my vagina
seemed to become nearly completely flacid. Would the lack of tone
account for my difficulty in having orgasms now? My husband is
great, and nothing else seems to have changed but this. There isn't
much feeling down there during intercourse. Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks, Loyda
