I agree with Frank, as well as with Selvei, as with Kyna.
I've bought a pair of NIKE volleyball-shoes 10 years ago. They fit me "like
my arm fits my body"!!!!
Then I 'discovered' Rope Skipping (now 6 years ago). And my shoes did a
great job: NEVER shint-splint!!!!
But when I wanted to buy a new pair (5 years ago), the new NIKE-shoes had a
hrader sole :-( and gave me hurting shints within 5 minutes, although I
had NO problem with volleyball. So I taped (!!!) my old pair and kept
jumping with them!!!
4 years ago I saw a volleyball-player wearing the same shoes as my first
pair. I bought the shoes as soon as he came of of the field after his game
for the price of a new pair for him! So now I have a 'NEW' pair ;-)
The best shoes for Rope Skipping are shoes with forefoot-cussions. The
sports who have / require this are: Volleybal, Basketbal and
(Sports)Aerobics. Also some kind of dancing-shoes are very suitable. The
advantage of the SportsAerobics-shoes are that they are VERY light!!! This
is a BIG advantage in getting the hight you need for the Level 3 and 4
skills!!!
