Hi Peter
Actually there are no proper shoes for skipping. Badminton, though there is a certain amount of jumping involved, the extent or pressure exerted to the knees are different from continuosly jumping on the spot. I believe when u skip - speed skipping - proper technique is also involved. If you are jumping the wrong way, then obivously your knee would tend to hurt after awhile. But jumping the right way helps alleviate this pain. As for shoes - I use my running shoes. As you know, running shoes are catered for running - only the ball of the feet is used when running. Likewise for skipping. So my pair of shoes is quite comfortable. Not that I am advertising for Nike.....but they r the best pair I have.
Hope this would help you. Have fun skipping!!!!
