Actually ankle and wrist weights help people if u r really training hard for like competitions. Or if u want resistence to ur workout. Not very advisable to use it and skip, as it could take a toll on ur knees. This is not a immediate effect but a gradual friction on the ankle and wrist which will grow worse ove rtime. A subtle 'killer'...I've done it with weights around my ankle....not advisable.
