Welcome to JOIMETHOD - a Clinical Hypnotherapy group! This space is for people to share ideas, techniques and disciplines related to hypnosis with other hypnotherapists, counselors, psychotherapists or anyone who works in the field of mental and emotional health. Members may respond to questions, concerns or comments expressed by others – including novice and experienced practitioners who may run across a challenge at some point in their practice.

Although the hypnotic induction I developed and use regularly is the JOIMETHOD, this group is open to discussion of the nuances and effectiveness of all inductions (direct eye gaze, Ericksonian, eye fixation, NLP, rapid induction, waking, etc), experiences and techniques – both old and new.

GROUP POLICY:

Although I am not a fan of big brother telling everyone what to do, I know rules are necessary in group situations. I have been a member in forums and groups where members are really hateful toward each other and serious discussions degenerate into shouting matches and disrespectful behavior. Ultimately, this negative behavior (what we attempt to change in our clients) breaks up the group because people become shy of posting or responding to a post. This is something that will not be tolerated here and all members must show respect and open-mindedness toward the opinions of others.

Hypnosis is both science and art and this group welcomes ideas from the scientists and the healers/artists types even if the opinions expressed are at different ends of the spectrum.

If there is a dispute between two or more people a private e-mail will be sent to notify those members to take the discussion 'outside' the group. Members who engage in repeated negative behavior or offend others with their words will be booted from the group.
