I was diagnosed with IBD back in college, 1970's. But no treatment
nor ameliaoration was recommended. I noticed as I got older (and
wiser) that improvement of my health habits improved symptoms
considerably. Since I was diagnosed with lactose intolerance/dairy
allergy, I have had no further IBD symptoms at all. My belly has
been 100% perfect for probably 10 years now.

However, I now have two children. My 14 year old ADHD son has no
belly complaints. My 12 year old daughter has considerably belly
complaints and her pediatrician is presently ruling out lactose
intolerance. My daughter's IBD (not diagnosed as such, but near-
chronically painful belly) symptoms seem to be greatly reduced with a
non-dairy diet. Her ADHD medications have caused considerable
discomfort as well, but this too is improving with removal of dairy.

I have many other symptoms that I can also directly relate to the
removal of dairy from my diet.
