Please do not use the photos we'll have here outside the group. They
are for our group only.
In the tradition instituted by Isabel, I uploaded the image of the
left eye of a friend. Let us all continue, one at a time!
Hi welcome,

Looking into the sun, Tatiana carries the inherent risk of
phototrauma, even at the low dose of sunrise or sunset. Illumination
from the sun depends on a host of factors, including local time,
latitude and weather. Moreover, melanophores in the iris stroma
behave erratically at UV stimulation, and many ophthalmologists
would not be happy about us discussing what they see as a risk
factor for iridial melanoma :-(
Every tissue has toxins, and in the iris stroma this is mainly
lipofuscin.
Usually the "dark lines" are something different though, and I'm
sure the competent iridologists here would be happy to comment.
And please don't worry, you are as welcome as ever in our group!

I was going through your website and then saw that you had a yahoo group so though of joining :).
I am still very interested in lightening my eye color. I hope you didn't mind me asking this questions here.If so I am truly sorry. I also remember you telling me to look at the sun in the morning. So that really does work? How long must you stare at the sun for cause I forgot it was a while back. Can I look at the sun at sun set? Cause I usually wake up after that.
Can you also tell if an eye has toxins in them and tell if their natural eye color is different than what you see in the mirror? I have black lines in my eyes does that mean I have toxins?
Thank You.
Tatiana
Hi Tatiana, and welcome to the group!
It's good to hear from you again. How are you doing? Still looking for more light ? :-)
Look, lantanoprost darkens and moderate sun exposure (especially at the seaside, during the early morning) lightens the overall iris color.
There are two caveats though: Iris color is hard to define and its modification is still more difficult to document.
For the first, you must remember that chemical and physical components contribute to the definition of color, which is still an impression and a concept more than a physical reality in the same group with, say, body weight and body length.
For the second caveat, we have some experimental methods, like those which spot micro-changes in the iris stromal pattern. Colorimetry is still not usual for measuring iris color changes in vivo.
That's it. So this is more of a group about iris physiology than anything else, including "iridology".
Hope this helps!
