uk thai massage / learning in thailand   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #112 of 675 |
hi all,
i'm going to thailand for a few months in early april. i am very
keen to learn some thai massage there. i would like to learn it out
of personal interest but i also like the idea of offering
proffesional massage. my provisional plan is to take lessons in wat
po southern style and chiang mai northern style. my questions are;

a) in reference to the previous "Best place to Study in Thailand"
thread, will what i learn there be a more superficial "relaxation"
form rather than a more theraputic / medical version?

b)would certificates from these schools be sufficient to get
insurance, and be allowed to practice in the uk? i hear that you need
some kind of anatomy and physiology qualification / training first?

c) will uk training courses train me to the standards that i could
reach in thailand if i had a few years free to train there (ie
comprehensive medical massage)?

thanks in advance, dan :)
