Desensitisation - seems to take for ever!

Well, you are a slow coach but how very sensible of your medical
team! They are doing exactly the right thing - at the first sign of
any reaction then just drop back a couple of doses and come at it
again.

It took me ten weeks to get to 1/500th of a sting (see my hospital
diary on the insect stings website

http://www.insectstings.co.uk/treatmentsdiary.htm

and another 12 weeks to get to the 2 wasp sting target. Most
immunotherapy in the UK lasts 12 weeks but for people with
particular sensitivity it is right that it should take longer.

Keep at it - perserverance is the order of the day!

What are other people's experiences?

David
