LyP and Desensitisation - Annie   Message List

Annie,
Annie

I had my treatment last week and asked my consultant about LyP and
she had not even heard of it! However she was aware of links
between certain types of lymphomas and mast cells degranulisation/T
Cells and so without direct knowledge, prejudice etc etc etc she
could understand the reservations of your consultant.

I am sorry it is not helpful news but ultimately it would be nice if
the choice could be yours - whilst the LyP does sound scary from
what I have learnt the wasp allergy is actually more life
threatening. Personally I would take the risk and stuff the skin
lesions , but then I took my risk and the decision came out for the
good.

It is such a tough one to call - I shall be thinking of you and wish
I could help more!

Take care

David
