I am hunting the internet for advice, i have contacted nhs direct but they were
of little help.
My concern is, am i allergic?
I was stung for the first time in my life last week (i'm 44) , on my wrist, i
had the general to be expected, localised redness, swelling, stinging , followed
by itching, but what really worried me was the fact that almost instantly, my
tongue went soooo dry, it then swelled and felt numb/tingly???? almost as if i'd
had an injection at the dentist, my speach was slightly impaired.
this lasted for about an hour, then disappeared
I've been led to believe by others that future stings may cause a more severe
reaction? do you believe this to be the case? should i be concerned?
