DON'T PANIC ! Like I just replied to Anna, other than the original sting, my reaction to the therapy has always been delayed and much worse hours after the shot. I had to go back to a lower dose a few times in the beginning. I know if I hadn't been able to get to this group I would have lost hope. I had to change doctors. Still, when I get my shot I get a little red bump and the nurse always says something like That's not bad at all and I always tell them they should see it in the evening. I completely understand the prisoner in your own home. Most of us here do. Most people that don't have the reaction don't understand. Continue to get all the answers you need and be in charge of your healthcare.
Yesterday I started the 300u/ml at .05cc Once again, I had a delayed reaction. Now the Allergist wants the shots stopped! I'm in such a panic, as I know if she would just allow me to drop back a few shots, and rebuild, I can make it through. The Allergist said that it's more serious because they are delayed reactions. Has anyone else gone through this and how has your Allergist dealt with it? I go on Monday and will beg, threaten, do what ever I have to in an attempt to get her to allow me to start again. I HAVE to have these shots. I can't live as I did last summer... I just can't do it. I was a prisoner in my own home... I can not do it again.
