Re: [insectstings] Delayed reaction

Hi Anna.  I don't know the answers to your questions but someone here will be able to help.  I am on maintenance and have been for a long time.  Other than the original sting  my reaction to the therapy has always been worse six or more hours after the shot.

Not much help but wanted to let you know this is a good place to ask.  Good luck

Debbie

Subject: [insectstings] Delayed reaction

Does anyone know what tests are necessary for a delayed systemic reaction to wasp/bee stings? The RAST test came up positive to moderate and high strengths after 12 hours and IgE was negative in the blood test. History of severe systemic reaction after 12 hours to a wasp and a bee sting. Is a different test required/possible? Does anyone have any experience of delayed reactions?

Many thanks

A
