That is very disappointing for you and a new burden of responsibility
to consider too. I hope the reaction was not too unpleasant - I think
the whole sting challenge is a very brave business, and especially so
for Mum!
It is quite a commitment to get to the clinic each week/month or
whatever the timing may be - and not much fun when you get there. I
do hope Joe considers it seriously - it is really worth the effort and
it may well all be over before GCSE's start to loom (national exams
over here in the UK!).
However the fact that there was no reaction to the 1/100th of a sting
may mean that the immunotherapy could start quite a way down the track
and that should cut down on the weekly visits as you build up the
tolerance to maintenance level.
Let us know how it goes - and yes, I accept that boys are not easy too!
