Hi Lisa - sorry to hear about your son - as a Mum you go thru the
mill worrying about them.- mine are 14 & 16 and it doesn't stop.
You will find a new 'normal' it is just a different one from before
and unfortunately has peaks of anxiety :(
It is different from the food allergies as alot of it is out of our
control - esp with a 4 year old - not the most compliant of ages :)
No, people don't understand - this site is great cos sometimes you
think you are losing the plot but everybody here knows what it is
like and will support you. My husband took a while to understand
till I got stung - my 12 year old son was with me the first time and
was very cool (but terrified inside he said!)
I live in the North West of the UK - hardly any wasps this year -
yippee, load of bees (I am ok with them) - think we must have all the
missing ones. Happily we don't have fire ants - they sound nasty :(
Let us know how you get on with the immunotherapy - kids are
remarkably resilient - it is you that takes the strain.
:)
Maggie
