Hi Dave and Sue,
I think the best advice is to seek a physcian with
expertise in both dermatology and allergy. Maybe
difficult to find but that would be the best solution.
I doubt most people could wait through seven years of
itching to seek resolution, so I don't know how Sue
made it this far but obviously she has tried a lot of
remedies.
Dave, it has been very quiet here for a while. I was
going to tell you about a "bee" story. My daughter
brought home a potted "Hyacinth" plant this week. She
left it outdoors and decided to give it a little
water. After about a half hour it had several bees
around it. She was pretty certain they were honeybees.
She moved it away from where she had left it near the
door and later, maybe an hour or so, it was covered in
bees. I'm in Massachusetts and it is early for
Hyacinths to be naturally blooming so I think the
(probably wild) honeybees found it and were attracted
to it since they didn't have any flowers yet to go to.
I've only seen crocuses in bloom and daffodils almost
ready to bloom. It makes me wonder if the bees get
ready early and wait to come out or maybe more survive
over winter than we think.
Sue, good luck with the itching, my wheat allergy
without medication itched worse than poison ivy. My
bee sting allergy paled by comparision it itched and
made me swell like a parade balloon, many times, but
it always goes away after a few days.
Again, good luck.
Doug
