Re: Venus Fly Trap

Hi Roz,

I think our trap is going to be a spoilt trap too!

David had a thought that the wasps don't like the wind - last winter
was very windy but this one hasn't really been. I hope the frost
does see them off!

As a parent I think it must be worse seeing your son suffer, I feel
at least I can cope with myself as you have the element of control
but it is harder with a child. A friend's kid has a peanut allergy
and for years Mum went to all the kids parties and on all the school
trips. I was happy to take responsibilty for the pens (before I had
them myself) but quite a few parents wouldn't have hime round which
I thought was tight!

Enjoy the last few carefree weeks.

:)

Maggie

to be honest they didn't seem to attract wasps. In fact they didn't
seem to keen on large flies either..only the small variety. They are
the most fascinating plants though. My two children kept catching
small flies and literally feeding them to the plant just to see it
snap closed. Obviously very spoilt Venus Fly traps!!

which the media then said had been responsible for the small numbers
of waps last summer.
