I got adult onset asthma when I was 32 I am now 50 years of age. My
asthma has slowly got worse since a bout of pneumonia 7 years ago. I
started to surf the net for advice as my asthma worsened even though I
had stopped smoking. Before I heard about asthma and antibiotics I was
wondering myself if i had a problem with a stubborn infection. I do
have a medical history of getting infections over the years not just
resperatory but our family seems to be prone to infection. Each time I
am on a course of antibiotics I get much better after around 3 days
and continue to improve for the 5 days of the course. Eventually when
I have stopped the course I become worse and worse until I can stand
it no longer and demand antibiotics from my doctor again. Sometimes
they won't give me antibiotics again and give me predisolone which
does not work as well but gives me some relief. When I saw my asthma
story and the links on that site I printed everything off and took it
to my doctor. Who immediately did a spyrometry and said I had COPD as
well and changed my asthma meds. He is totally against the antibiotic
treatment and said that you read all sorts on the internet and that
azythromicine is a very expensive antibiotic. Well that was two weeks
ago now and I am still getting worse. I can hardly walk now and I am
going to visit my doctor again tomorrow as I am so desperate. It is
such a struggle at work and I am constantly exhausted. I have been
thinking of ordering AZYTHROMICINE from a site I have found through
the links on my asthma story as I am so desperate now. OK I may have
COPD but I am sure I could improve my quality of life with the
antibiotics if not, well I have got nothing to loose! My doctor said
that if you have an infection you have a temperature but I have not.
Is there any other way to tell if you have an infection. I live in
England and wondered if this was an English problem that our doctors
will just not accept this infection idea. Has anyone any advice and is
there any other way I can tell if I have an underlying infection that
anyone knows of. Thanks to anyone who can help. Gina
I didn't find Zith that expensive, as you only take a
certain amount every week. I orded mine online and it
worked out to about $7 a pill. Which is nothing if you
sit down and work out what you really spend on wine,
coffee, junk food, cigarettes, potato chips, steak or
those other things not so good for your health, and
everyone has their weaknesses somewhere and can cut
back on the budget. If you want to think of costs that
way, and this is to benefit your health.
I'm doing way so much better now. I have barely even
had any hayfever this spring.
Something strange that happened was that I broke up
with my boyfriend in October and suddenly, all the
infections stopped. I later found out he had been
visiting friends in hospitals at least 3 times a week
the past year. Great for them, but I think he was
bringing infections back to me, though he displayed no
symptoms. One of them was staph, which is quite common
from a hospital. I haven't been sick since October.
So is it possible there is someone you are around who
is a silent carrier? If you have a poor immune system
you have to be really careful to limit contact with
any sick people. When I go to my doctor's I actually
wait in the hallway until I can go into the exam room,
and the MOA totally understands. I scrub my hands down
after I leave there. I'm sure you understand the
paranoia we go through now!
I hope you feel better soon and I would order the zith
if I were you. It was great and gave me no side
effects.

Melanie, I've talked to Dr. Hahn about silent carriers and he said
that while he's not sure, it's an interesting and possible concept.
He even treated one friend of mine while treating her son because he
thought this might have been the scenario.
Glad you're doing so well now!!

I haven't used my Symbicort or any inhaler for 2
months now. I still do continue to get a small amount
of wheezing, an allergic reaction I think to certain
things and I just take a claritin (daytime) or
Benadryl at night (helps me sleep), if I need it. I
imagine that eventually there were be less frequency
in the allergic attacks.
I spoke to a woman on the weekend who has an asthmatic
son who is having difficulties and suggested she check
it out online. She seemed receptive to the Zithromax
regimen.

can't believe you get COPD diagnosed by a simple spyrometry. Is there some sophisticated devices in pulmonary institutes who can do many tests.I did 3 years ago.I was in a bad asthma crise and the result paper conclusion was :obstructive process.I asked the institute doctors:what that conclusion mean? They don't tell me anything clear, said that can mean anything :fungus infection, benign obstruction mass, asthma,COPD etc.
I have showed the result to a young doctor who said with no hesitation:you have asthma, end of story.
Ten weeks ago I have started azythromicin with Dr. Han's protocol. His advice to me was that the mycoplasma and chlamydia tests are not accurate so don't bother with them.I'm feeling much better now,not perfect, but better. You are just in a middle of a bad asthma crisis who seems to last for ever.I know how hard it is.It will pass, take your medication for crisis.Take vitamin C-1 gram
daily.Help with immunity. When you get better begin azythro .
Hang in there,

Thanks for your reply and it has given me some hope that this is
perhaps a mix between infection and a dog we aquired a year ago. I am
allergic to dust through an allergy test and he is dropping hairs and
raking up dust on the carpet like a mad thing when he runs about bless
him. Well hopefully when I get my infection sorted out with the
azythromicine the dog won't be such a problem. But just to let you
know why my doctor prescribed COPD - THIS IS ENGLAND!!! - Our medical
care is poo! The doctor sees low response to spyrometry and the fact
that I smoked for 20 years and diagnoses COPD. I have no confidence in
that doctor any more he has regigged my meds and now even they are not
so good. I was on combivent and seratide and he has changed it all.
Well I am going this morning to see another partner in the practice.
Wish me luck.
Thanks
Gina

Gina, it does sound like your asthma is either worst because of
bacteria, or caused by bacteria.
I've been in contact with many doctors in the U.K. who are not at all
open to this, despite the links to research I've emailed them. I
can't recommend your ordering drugs online, but I will say that
several people I know finally did just that and found great relief
when they did.
I believe I know of another place you might order from that's actually
in the U.K., but I don't have your complete email address and I would
rather send you the information privately. Please post your email
address so I can send that off to you.
