my update

I finished the regime. As I mentioned earlier, after the third week I
got some weird infections so I missed 2 weeks of zith. I got back on
track and finished it off.

Not sure if that affected the final outcome or not. I'm giving myself
a year now, for my lungs to heal.

I seem to be better but there seemed to be some weird psychological
effects happening at night. I'd go to sleep, then suddenly wake up
thinking that I couldn't breathe. Which actuallly wasn't the case, I
could breathe just fine. But there's been a few nights when I've lain
wide awake in bed. "Why can't I sleep? Am I having trouble breathing?
I need my inhaler to sleep!" But I already knew I was addicted to the
inhaler helping me sleep at night.

I also am having problems with food allergies. I'll eat something and
start wheezing.

So, my next step after that was to get on Singulair. It seems to help
a lot, especially at night time. I don't feel that need to take my
inhaler to help me sleep.

So, I've cut back greatly on my inhaler. I'm averaging once a week
now, with the Singulair taken every night.

I'm hoping to gradually cut back on the Singulair. I have also
decided to go ahead and pay for the expensive allergy testing. My
doctor also suggested a rice and water fast to give my body a break
from the allergies. I'm not sure if I can do that, we shall see!

If I feel in one year's time that I have hit a brick wall, I will try
the zith again and hopefully have no interruptions. Oh, BTW, I had no
side effects from the drug. I was quite happy, as I am allergic to
Erithromycin and that's in the same family.

Melanie, thanks for the update and I'm really glad you didn't have any reactions. I would continue with your medication if you need to. Sometimes people are on...
