Melanie, thanks for the update and I'm really glad you
didn't have any reactions.
I would continue with your medication if you need to.
Sometimes people are on it for months following
treatment and then find they can stop. Your lungs
need time to heal. Don't force yourself to work
through breathing difficulties because that may be
dangerous.
This whole thing really plays with your head in big
ways. When I was off all medication, I was deathly
afraid to be anywhere near a person with a cough or
cold. I was so afraid I was going to catch it and
find myself with asthma again. Then I caught a cold a
year after treatment and I was in a panic about that,
too, but it was the first time I just had a normal
cold of short duration without any secondary infection
requiring antibiotics. So, I know the feeling of fear
you must be going through.
I hope you continue to find improvement each day, and
I hope you'll continue to keep us posted!
Maureen
